You could compare this to Meursault 'Meix Chavaux' Roulot. Or for Puligny, it's a bit 'Clavoillon' but without the weight. The style is lean, racy, steely, with a citrus palate, with some nice fruit to carry it, but it's that lovely incisive nature that singles out this wine. (A bit Coche). The aromas are fine and very lifted and appealing, with acacia flowers, lemon and white peach. The palate is silky and fine and evolving nicely with a delicate hint of white-buttered toast with a lovely minerality and sharp, limestone tang that I like so much. Very long and graceful.
Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson is a sensational producer. They are most definitely a feather in our cap. We don’t come across producers like this often, that aren't already being imported to the UK. In fact, it would be just a few like this in a lifetime, such is the quality of terroir they have, but more importantly what they’re doing with it. Perriere is one of 4 lieu-dits made by the Buisson brothers, each as good as the last.
