Sourced from two exceptional old vine sites, one on the granite soils of the Paardeberg and one on the schist soils of the Kasteelberg. These old sites bring wonderful freshness and balance to the fruit, even for all its lush sweetness and viscosity imparted by picking at "normal" ripeness and drying the fruit outside in the shade for 2-4 weeks.

Founding members of the Swartland Revolution, four times winner Platter Guide Winery of the Year, and The Wine Enthusiast's Winemaker of the Year 2016, Chris and Andrea Mullineux are one serious power couple. Based just outside of Riebeek Kasteel on their farm Roundstone, their ambition is to bottle wines that are a true expression of the Swartland. Its granite, schist and iron soils, wind swept sites, old vines, hot climate and long, dry Summers. With Chris in charge of the vineyards and viticulture, and Andrea at the helm in the cellar, it has been a joy to see the incredible quality coming out of the estate year on year. Are there any more talented duos in South Africa? I don't think anyone would question it.
